Overview |
| Maddie & Ellie's House is an indoor
facility that only accepts dogs. Our daycare groups are small
and individualized. We work with dogs that may not be the "perfect"
candidate at other facilities. |

| What are your hours? |
|
Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 7:00
pm with a naptime between 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
Saturday: 8:00 am - 10:00 am*
Sunday: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm*

Dog Daycare/Boarding Information |

| What is your application process? |
|
We do not have any breed restrictions
and allow each dog a chance at the same enrollment process.
An application describing your dog's personality is required
and better informs us of their temperament. After your paperwork
is received and reviewed, we can set up a trial day, if
necessary. We do not charge for the evaluation. |
|
| What are your vaccination requirements? |
|
We require Distemper (DHPP), Bordetella and
Rabies to be current. We also accept vaccine titers. |
|
| Have you ever turned down any dogs before?
If so, for what reasons? |
|
We turn down dogs that are aggressive with
people and/or other dogs. We also do not allow any dogs
over the age of 7 months that have not been spayed or neutered.
Dogs that fail our evaluation process are turned down, as
well. |

| Do you have separate areas for large dogs
and small dogs? |
|
We have four playrooms that we use for playgroups.
We separate the dogs into various playgroups by their energy
level and size, with size outweighing their energy level. |
|
| Is your facility indoor or outdoor? |
|
We have four indoor playrooms that dogs play
in during the day. All dogs get to go outside for leashed
walks throughout the day. |
|
| How many times per day do you walk the dogs?
Can we purchase additional walks or play time? |
|
We leash walk all dogs outside, throughout
the day, regardless of the weather. Puppies and dogs with
special needs are taken out more often. Unlimited walks
are included in price of daycare or boarding. Playtime with
other dogs during the day is purchased either in half-days
or full-days. |

| Do you provide dog treats? How many
times do you feed the dogs? |
|
We feed most dogs twice a day, however if
your dog requires feeding more often, we are more than happy
to do so. We also, love giving treats at naptime or before
bed. If your dog is on a special diet, please let us know. |

| How often do you provide water? |
|
Water is provided in buckets in each playroom.
They are filled, however, a few times each play session.
We have found a lot of dogs like to play in the water or
drink too much too fast. It is common to have dogs arrive
home thirsty. |

| Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our
own toys and other personal belonging? |
|
We have tons of toys and play equipment.
Toys are removed from play area the moment one of the dogs
is protective of it. We allow dogs that board to have something
from home in their crate or suite. Most people bring a bed
or favorite toy. |
|
| Do you require a nap time for the dogs? |
|
Our naptime is between 12 pm - 2 pm. We have
found that if we do not require a naptime, the dogs are
more irritable and do not have enough energy to keep playing
until their owners arrive. |
|
| What is your cancellation policy? |
|
We ask for at least 24 hour notice for any
daycare or boarding cancellations. If we are not able to
fill your dogs slot for boarding you forfeit your deposit.
For daycare, you are charged a full day if your dog had
a reservation and you did not show up and never contacted
us. |
|
| Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet
on call? |
|
We do not have a vet on call. Both owners
have worked a number of years at vet clinics. The closest
vet is about one mile from us. There is an emergency animal
hospital about three miles from us. |
|
| What do you do in case of emergency? |
|
You are notified first, if there is any concern
with your dog. If we are unable to reach you, we will try
your local emergency contact. We will try to take your dog
its own vet, but if it is after hours or a holiday we will
take them to the closest emergency animal hospital. |
