Dog Daycare/Boarding Information

What is your application process?   We have a Meet-and-Greet. Customers bring their dog/s to meet our dogs and take a tour of house and property.
Have you ever turned down any dogs before? If so, for what reasons?   Yes. We mostly board LABRADORS & GOLDEN RETRIEVERS, and dogs/breeds of similar temperament. Fence-jumpers, barkers, diggers, small dogs, male dogs that 'mark' a lot, dogs that are aggressive toward food, people or other dogs would be best placed elsewhere.
How much time do the dogs spend inside and outside?   Weather permitting, kitchen door is open almost all the time. Dogs are free to go in and out as they please. At night, all dogs are inside and can sleep most anywhere they please. They usually follow us into the bedroom where there are multiple dog beds. Generally we don't allow dogs on furniture and find most dogs obey our wishes, even if they are allowed on furniture in their own home.
How many times per day do you walk the dogs? Can we purchase additional walks or play time?   Normally we don't walk the dogs since they have access to the yard all day, but if you'd like your dog walked (especially if your dog is accustomed to being walked to relieve itself), there's a $10 per walk fee. Playtime is what we're all about, so no charge for that.
Do you provide dog treats?  How many times do you feed the dogs?   Yes. We provide dog biscuits, dried chicken filets, carrots, apple slices and snap peas, and an occasional "cookie toss" of kibble in the yard. We feed two or three meals a day, depending on what your dog is accustomed to. We are happy to provide food if your dog eats what we "serve." Otherwise, you're welcome to bring your own food.
How often do you provide water?   There are three large bowls of water in the yard and another in the kitchen. These are refreshed daily.
Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our own toys and other personal belonging?   Yes. Lots of toys in the house and yard. No need to bring any. In fact, I can't guarantee that yours would be returned in the same condition, so it's best to save them for when your pup gets home again.
What is your cancellation policy?   We're agreeable and friendly. We realize plans change.
