| What is your application process? |
Customers fill out a behavior
questionnaire/application. Dogs must be current on vaccinations
and come in for a behavior/socialization interview before
attending camp on a regular basis. |
| What are your vaccination requirements? |
Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. |
| Have you ever turned down any dogs before?
If so, for what reasons? |
Very few, but yes. Basically because the
dogs simply could not get along with any of the other dogs
and continually started fights. |
| Do you have separate areas for large dogs
and small dogs? |
Yes. |
| Is your facility indoor or outdoor? |
We have indoor/outdoor areas for all of the
dogs. If a dog is boarding he/she will be staying inside
during the night in our climate controlled building. |
| How many times per day do you walk the dogs?
Can we purchase additional walks or play time? |
All dogs coming to Camp Bow Wow play all
day. We have play equipment outside as well. The dogs get
plenty of exercise and stimulation. |
| Do you provide dog treats? How many
times do you feed the dogs? |
We give all of our boarding dogs a campfire
treat at bedtime which is a Kong filled with treats and
peanut butter. Yum! |
| How often do you provide water? |
Water is available at all times in the play
areas as well as the camper’s cabin. |
| Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our
own toys and other personal belonging? |
Since the dogs play on the play equipment,
we prefer not to have toys in the play yards which can cause
aggression. Customers are welcome to bring toys to be kept
in the dog’s individual cabin for nighttime play. |
| Do you require a nap time for the dogs? |
Naps are encouraged at Camp Bow Wow since
the dogs get so much exercise. Nap time in Omaha is from
12 noon to 1:30. Lights out and a brief time to wind down. |
| What is your cancellation policy? |
24 hour cancellation notice. |
| Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet
on call? |
Our on call vet is less than 1 mile away
from us. |
| What do you do in case of emergency? |
All of our Camp Counselors have been trained
in pet first aid. We also have a Vet Tech on staff. If an
emergency arises, the dog is immediately taken to our on
call vet and after hours taken to the Animal Emergency Clinic.
