Overview |
| The Dog’s Dream Inn is a dog’s
home away from home. Our Doggie Resort guests sleep in our spacious
sleep suites, complete with a bed, toys, and bed time snacks.
Our canine guests spend their days participating in fun filled
activities, according to the itinerary you choose. We are located
on a farm with plenty of open fields, & access to wooded
trails, in addition to our fenced play yards. Our play yards
contain kiddie pools in summer, play equipment, and sandboxes
for diggers. We also have an agility course, and an indoor (for
bad weather) matted doggie playroom. Your dogs will be warm
in winter, and cool in summer in their air conditioned suites. |

| "Karen and her team are outstanding. Karen's facility
is a wonderful haven for animals. There is ample land for them
to play and it is a safe, fun and nurturing environment for all
animals. Karen is one of the most generous people I know. Before
I got my Bernese Mountain Dog, Karen came to my house and walked
me through what I needed to get and do to be prepared for Riley's
arrival. We also had countless phone calls and she could not have
been more patient and informative. She then made time in her incredibly
busy schedule to assist us with some training. Riley has been
going to Dog's Dream Inn since she was a puppy and everytime Karen
comes to pick her up for boarding, Riley's enthusiasm is hard
to contain. She has a genuine love for her dogs and they do for
her. Karen's Inn truly is a dream!!! 5 star in my opinion!!!" |

| What are your hours? |
|
Our doggie day care operates
Monday - Friday. We have drop off hours between 7:30 and
8:30 am & pick up between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. We also
offer limo service pick up between 9:00 and 10:00 am and
drop off between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
We board dogs at our resort 7 days a week. We are closed
for pick up/drop off on Sundays. |

| What is your application process? |
|
Doggie daycare dogs must be social
and friendly to other dogs. We interview potential clients
and may request a trial play date to be sure your dog will
fit in. |

| What are your vaccination requirements? |
|
Distemper, parvo, corona virus, rabies, kennel
cough. We recommend Lyme disease vaccine or topical tick
applications. |
|
| Have you ever turned down any dogs before?
If so, for what reasons? |
|
Yes. We will not take dogs with fleas, dogs
who are sick and coughing, or vicious dogs. |
|
| Do you have separate areas for large dogs
and small dogs? |
|
We will separate dogs by size when necessary.
Some small dogs enjoy the big guys, too. |

| Is your facility indoor or outdoor? |
|
Doggie daycare dogs play all day. In good
weather they are out in our fenced play yards, as well as
daily romps on our wooded trails, and through our fields.
In bad weather we also have a "doggie den" indoor
play room.
Dogs boarding in our resort stay indoors in sleep suites
with access to a private fenced outdoor bathroom via a dog
door. The dogs play all day and we also offer trail walks
and field romps. |

| How many times per day do you walk the dogs?
Can we purchase additional walks or play time? |
|
The dogs are out with us most of the day
- playing, walking, hiking. Overnight they have access to
a "bathroom" via a dog door. Otherwise, we do
"bathroom" walks four times a day. There is no
need to purchase extra time as the dogs have constant access
to outside and a full day of play. |

| Do you provide dog treats? How many
times do you feed the dogs? |
|
Clients can purchase special bed time snacks
from us, such as Frosty Paws. Owners can also provide their
own dog treat which will be offered sporadically thru the
day, or chew treats can be given once a day. We feed dogs
on the schedule they are used to - either one, two or three
meals a day. |

| How often do you provide water? |
|
There is ALWAYS water. We provide clean fresh
water in the sleep suites twice a day. We also have water
available in the play yard. |
|
| Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our
own toys and other personal belonging? |
|
We provide dog toys and play equipment in
the yard. We also provide Kuranda dog beds, covered with
a fleece blanket. We prefer you don't send additional beds/toys,
but we will accept them. |
|
| Do you require a nap time for the dogs? |
|
No. |
|
| What is your cancellation policy? |
|
Holiday weeks 50% deposit when you reserve
and no refund if you cancel. |
|
| Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet
on call? |
|
The nearest vet is a couple miles away. The
nearest emergency vet is about 20 minutes. |
|
| What do you do in case of emergency? |
|
We will seek vet care and attempt to contact
the owner on the way ot the vet. We require you leave us
a permission form to seek vet care in an emergency. |
