Dog Daycare/Boarding Information

What is your application process?

We ask that all owners view our space to make sure it is right for their dog. Urban Out Sitters is a very unique environment that may not be suitable for all pets. We ask that you educate yourself on the dangers of the other daycare centers. We also have a lengthy personality profile to help us understand your pet’s behavior.

If your dog is over 6 months of age, we will meet your dog prior to attending to insure your pets compatibility.

What are your vaccination requirements?   DHLPP, Corona Virus, Bordetella, Rabies, flea & tick prevention and heartworm.
Have you ever turned down any dogs before? If so, for what reasons?   Yes, We want our space to be a calm retreat for those dogs that are not able to stay in a traditional kennel environment. Obsessive barking, destructive behavior and aggressive behavior are all things that do not fit into our environment. We will of course work to correct these issues but if all else fails we must refuse the return of that pet.
Do you have separate areas for large dogs and small dogs?   Yes, we are a two floor facility with small dogs on our first and larger on our second floor. All dogs on both floors are ALWAYS SUPERVISED by trained, caring professionals.
Is your facility indoor or outdoor?   Our space is all indoor and climate controlled with air exchange systems and filtration air purifiers.
How many times per day do you walk to dogs? Can we purchase additional walks or play time?   Dogs are taken on walks a minimum of 4 times during daycare and an additional 2 times while boarding for a total of 6 walks per day. Daycare is included as well as walks in one simple fee. No need to purchase more walks or playtime.
Do you provide dog treats?  How many times do you feed the dogs?   We provide treats free or you can bring your own for those with sensitive tummies.
How often do you provide water?   Water is provided 4 times during our daycare day. We also have water available for those that are staying overnight.
Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our own toys and other personal belonging?   Yes, we separate the dogs into their own rooms so any personal items can be placed in the room at night.
Do you have a nap time for the dogs? Only those needing or wanting naps are encouraged to take a nap.
What is your cancellation policy?   48 hours.
Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet on call? 4 blocks to the nearest vet. We also have access to a vet 24 hours a day.
What do you do in case of emergency?   Owner is pet first aid and CPR certified through The American Red Cross. He is able to jump in and help any animal in need.

- Regular brushing of teeth for dogs and cats can assist in the prevention of tooth and gum disorders or disease.
