Overview

We are a premier doggy day camp and boarding facility conveniently located near the intersection of I-70 and Ward Road. At Camp Bow Wow, we have a "play all day" atmosphere with three separate indoor/outdoor play areas. Your best friend will be placed in the area that best matches his or her size, activity level and disposition and will have plenty of room to romp, snooze, or just hang-out with the other dogs.

What Camp Bow Wow - Golden Customers Are Saying

" I would recommend Camp Bow Wow Golden (and have done so) because it's clear to me that the welfare of my dog is their primary concern. They have a caring attitude, and they LIKE dogs; this isn't always the case with boarding facilities. I also like that my dog is not confined to a cage all the time; has supervised interaction with other dogs. I also believe that their policy about "interviewing" dogs prior to accepting them for daycare or boarding protects my dog from aggressive and otherwise dangerous dogs."

Dog Daycare/Boarding Information

What is your application process?   Must complete a canine camper application and successfully complete a canine behavior interview.
What are your vaccination requirements?   Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella
Have you ever turned down any dogs before? If so, for what reasons?   Yes, aggressive behavior. Sometimes it is not the right environment for the dog due to the open play areas.
Do you have separate areas for large dogs and small dogs?   Yes! We have three indoor/outdoor play areas and we separate based on both size and temperament.
Is your facility indoor or outdoor?   Both! The play areas are indoors and outdoors. All of the overnight boarding is in cozy cabins that are indoors.
How many times per day do you walk to dogs? Can we purchase additional walks or play time?   Not necessary! The dogs play in the open play areas the majority of day excluding nap and feeding times. There are no extra charges if your camper needs to be walked with a leash.
Do you provide dog treats?  How many times do you feed the dogs?   We do have campfire treats at bed time for the. Our campers are typically fed twice a day. Some require special feeding times so we feed them according to their schedule. There are no extra fees for additional feedings.
How often do you provide water?   Water is always available. Both in the play areas and in the private cabins.
Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our own toys and other personal belonging?   In our open play environment, it is impossible to allow our campers to play with toys. However, toys are allowed in their cabins.
Do you have a nap time for the dogs? Yes! All overnight campers have a nap between 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. If requested by the owner, we will give our day campers a nap.
What is your cancellation policy?   We ask that we are given 48 hours advance notice of a cancellation.
Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet on call? Our vet is less than two miles away. We use an animal hospital that is open overnight for our after hour emergencies.
What do you do in case of emergency?   We quickly assess the emergency to determine what plan of action to take. Our concern is always what is best for our canine camper. Depending on the emergency, we will either rush the camper to the closest vet, or in non-emergency situations, we make the effort to take them to their own vet. We always make the effort to contact the owner to get their permission on our course of action.
