Dog Daycare/Boarding Information |
| What is your application process? |
Clients must complete a registration
form, read and sign our Memorandum of Understanding (explaining
our policies), and bring current vaccination records. |
| What are your vaccination requirements? |
We require dogs to be current on Distemper,
Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella. With protocal regarding the
time span between vaccination administration changing, we
defer to each clients' veterinarian's recommendation. |
| Have you ever turned down any dogs before?
If so, for what reasons? |
Yes, dogs that do not pass our evaluation
process (based on temperament, play skills, prey drive,
etc.) are not allowed to participate in daycare. Dogs over
6 months of age that are unaltered do not qualify for daycare.
| Do you have separate areas for large dogs
and small dogs? |
Yes. We currently have 2 grass yards for
play, as well as 2 pea gravel yards. Plans for expansion
are in the works. |
| Is your facility indoor or outdoor? |
We have 2 locations a 7,000 sq foot climate
controlled indoor facility and our grass yards for play
at our outdoor facility. |
| How many times per day do you walk the dogs?
Can we purchase additional walks or play time? |
Daycare is an all day event, with dogs in
play groups. Sometimes individual dogs are rotated out of
group play for short periods when warrented. |
| Do you provide dog treats? How many
times do you feed the dogs? |
Treats are provided on occasion, but are
not a part of our regular daycare routine. |
| How often do you provide water? |
Fresh, cool water is available at all times
(from water buckets and 2 pools!) |
| Do you provide dog toys? Can we bring our
own toys and other personal belonging? |
Clients are welcome to bring their dog\'s
toys along when boarding for individual enjoyment. We do
not incorporate those toys, however, into the Daycare groups. |
| Do you have a nap time for the dogs? |
Dogs tend to nap throughout the day. We let
them decide when one is needed! |
| What is your cancellation policy? |
24 hour notice, please. Reservations are
required. |
| Where is the nearest vet? Do you have a vet
on call? |
The closest veterinarian (Dr. Paul Sessa)
is just minutes away at Salida Veterinary Hospital. There
is also a 24-hour Emergency Clinic less than 10 minutes
away. |
| What do you do in case of emergency? |
Critical situations demand our immediate
attention. An injured dog wil be taken by us immediately
to Salida Vet Hospital, and owners will be contacted as
soon as possible. In non emergency situations clients are
contacted first, and we abide by their wishes (isolating
the dog, or taking him/her to their vet of choice, etc.). |
