Animals were saved from shelter in Miss.

San Diego, CA - "A planeload of dogs and cats rescued from a Mississippi shelter threatened by Hurricane Katrina landed in San Diego yesterday. Fifty of the animals were unloaded in crates and taken to the Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe, while most of the rest were headed to a shelter in San Francisco..."
